So I have decided to take on a project. It isn’t a new project – I am, in fact, stealing the idea from one of you. When Lori (janeanger) started talking about the 365 photo project quite a while ago, I thought it was a wonderful idea, and I decided that I would like to pick a starting date and do it myself. Well, I have finally picked a starting date.

Starting on my 27^th birthday, I will take a picture of myself (or, more likely, have someone else take a picture of me) every day for a year. And I have decided that I want to share my 28^th year of existence with all of you. Now, I don’t promise that it’s not going to get repetitive or boring, but I will chronicle the upcoming year through (admittedly basic) photography. I am actually really looking forward to this year. It will include Ren Fest, art festivals, numerous trips (Utah! Vegas! London!), so many weddings, holidays with my families (both biological and chosen), me dressed up, me looking awful, me with my dog, me at various locations I love, me drunk, me doing really dumb things, etc.

The plan (and we will see how well I hold to this) is to start a new journal (this one) where I will post my photos (and a short explanation of each) weekly. Am I likely to get behind? Absolutely. I always catch up eventually, though. I’m likely to restrict that journal to friends only, but if you are reading this, I will most definitely add you to that one if you are interested.

Honestly, this is something that I am doing entirely for myself. But, hey, life is more fun if you share it. And it is going to be a fun year!
